Welcome to the FirstGlance Philadelphia Film Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Philadelphia Film Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The FirstGlance Philadelphia Film Festival is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
FirstGlance Philadelphia Film Festival The FirstGlance Film Festival has been showing in Philadelphia in addition to its other home, Los Angeles, since 1998, and is regarded as one of the finest bi-coastal film festivals.
A showcase for film and video, the festival features talks with up-and-coming talented directors, actors and producers. Both students and professionals showcase feature films, documentaries, short films, animation and experimental work, with the attendees voting for the winners. As well as a great line-up of guests, there is an opening night party and an awards ceremony. There a number of separate programs with at least 50 films on the bill.
